Perspective matters: Your perspective on life matters for this question Here a condition is triggered by a mutation in a gene. Its genetic pattern is dominant, meaning only one copy is needed to be affected. Most are passed from one affected parent & each offspring has 50% risk of having the disorder which may show up late in life. You could also pass it to a kid before diagnosis. To some that would matter.
