Yes: Continuous heavy wheezing, usually an uncontrolled asthma attack, is very dangerous as it leads to severe fatigue of the respiratory chest muscles causing lack of oxygen, build-up of carbon dioxide in the system and, if untreated, eventual respiratory arrest. Even mild asthmatic wheezing must be treated before it gets out of control.
