Good advice: The advice you had is exactly what most experts recommend. LSIL (low grade squamous epithelial lesion) has almost no chance of progressing to cancer, and indeed is often associated with low risk (non cancer causing) types of HPV. It usually clears up entirely within a few months, so your next Pap at 6 months is likely to be normal.
