Probable lymph node: From your description and the location, it sound like this may be an enlarge lymph node. A node in this area is related to drainage from around the ear, and irritated skin behind the ear, the ear lobe or ear canal can cause inflammation. Alternatives are a small cyst. Observation only is needed at this time. Get it checked out if it continues to enlarge or becomes painful.
