Likely folliculitis: The area is covered with hair follicle sites & these are prone to invasion by skin germs on occasion. They enter the mouth of oil producing glands near the hair root & feed off that material. Local application of moist heat will often bring them to drain at the surface so they can heal. If the area becomes swollen/hard or red it could require surgical drainage.
