Little or no risk: Herpes is rarely transmitted from one body area to another. This sometimes happens during an initial herpes infection, before the immune system can prevent it. But it almost never happens with longstanding, recurrent herpes. Don't worry about it. By the way, there are not creams effective against herpes. Talk to your doctor about prescription for valacyclovir to treat oral herpes outbreaks.
