Dermatologist or : Family medicine/internist should be able to prescribe medication for ringworm. If you are sure of the diagnosis, ringworm on the body generally responds well to topical creams like clotrimazole or terbenefine, both are over the counter in the US. Use twice daily for 3-6 weeks. Scalp areas on genital hair areas may require oral products, and Rx is needed for that.
