A member asked:

I am 68 years old - are vitamin b12 injections a good thing going forward?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vitamin b12 : Vitamin b12 (b12) is needed by the body for several things, but most noted as a needed nutrient for the nervous system. It is not common to have a b12 deficiency if you eat animal products like eggs and meat. A B12 deficiency can also occur if you can't absorb B12. B12 injections are needed in rare cases when your body can't absorb B12. There no other reason for a b12 injection
