My daughter had a bad fall at school. her nose is swollen at the bridge and blocked. should i take her for an x-ray ?

Exam first: Kids noses are more cartilage than bone & a true fracture is less common than other significant issues with this history. She should be examined first, which can find/exclude a blood pocket inside the main bone running down the middle of the nose that has potential to become dangerously infected. Exam can also detect a fracture that can be confirmed by x-ray if needed.
