My finger nails seem to be lifting from the back of my fingernail under the skin, it almost looks like a dead nail, what can i do?

Nail: This could be what we call onycholysis which is lifting of the fingernail and the nail can look "disfigured". Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done. I would see a dermatologist or general practitioner though for an exam of the nails to make sure no underlying systemic disease is behind the changes you are seeing.
