It happens: Some women have irregular/unpredictable periods. While pregnancy is a consideration if you are late, it is not the only reason. If there has been no sexual activity I would just wait it out. If you pass a month or two without menses your doc may want to give a med to trigger a menses. This is not rare or a sign of terrible things.
