A member asked:

If i was allergic to bactrim as a 6 year old, would i still be allergic to it as a 30 year old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If true=yes: A true allergic reaction to any antibiotic is a lifelong issue. The problem in kids is they get "rashes" from lots of unrelated issues and may be labeled allergic when not. There are also reactions to this med that are genetic/metabolic and not allergic that would persist thru life also.
