Back pain: due to faulty footwear is unfortunately quite common! Once you are wearing proper shoes , there is no reason why you cannot work. Some rest, anti-inflammatory medication ( eg: Ibuprofen) may be helpful in reversing any pain that persists. Hope this is helpful Dr Z
