Tubal surgery ?'s: With laparoscopic tubal surgery, removal of both tubes is common, which produces an inflammatory reaction, which can slow intestinal motility, leading to abdominal swelling. If you were on oral contraceptives prior to the surgery, your "real" menstrual cycle can also alter perceptively your memory of "periods" on the oral bcp's. Check with your surgeon if this continues.
