As much: As much as your body asks you, in general. Sleep is naturally uneven, imperfect, dictated by physiological phenomena that we can not totally control. Of course, if it becomes extremely irregular, atypically long or short hours, it may be a sign of problems. Assuming a normal, sane person, there is no such perfect universal rule. If in doubt, you should consult your dr, and get checked. Why not?
