Some basics: A routine physical exam for a 17 yo would not include the type of exam that might suggest sexual activity. In many offices there will be a period for confidential discussions with the doc where the parent is not present, but a chaperone of some type would be present for the exam. It is a good idea to inform the doc when you become sexually active so needed discussions/testing are done.

See below: A routine exam would not include a gynocologic exam. Routinely they would not tell your parents of what they noticed or you told them. In other words there would be confidential discussions with the doctor.
