Short period ?'s: If your periods are "regular" (between 24-34 days apart) the shortened bleeding length may be normal for you, and not "pre-menopause". If your are taking oral bcp's, the bleeding which occurs during the "placebo" cycle may be very short, as the amount of hormones is very low in bcp's, leading to less thickening of the uterine lining.
