A member asked:

Could you tell me what are hemorrhoids and how do i check for them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Engorgement of veins: Hemorrhoids are dilated/distended blood vessels usually due to increased intra-abdominal pressure (constipation, lifting, pregnancy etc). There are external (outside) or internal ( inside). Internal can come out with straining and can (or pushed back in) go back inside in early stages. U need to see a physician to be diagnosed and differentiate it from other lesions.
