Eye washing: I don't think it's advisable or necessary to wash your eyes in that manner, although I doubt the pressure in the tap water is exceedingly high. Nevertheless there is no need to squirt tap water directly into your eyes especially with force. I wouldn't worry about going blind, but more about irritating your eyes with mild trauma and nonsterile water.

I would stop: The eyes form their own lubrication & any washing/rinsing of outside debris should be with clean water. Don't put anything into your eyes under pressure unless you want to damage them. The self lubricating film created by the eyes has anti-germ factors that help them stay healthy. If/when you wash this away you are asking fro trouble.

Likely: Yes, likely. There is nothing sterile about tap water. It's also not a good lubricant. For chemical injuries to the eyes, a rapid water flush is advisable. Eyes are self cleaning for the most part. You may lubricate, cleanse the eyelid margins with appropriate eyelid hygiene (OcuSoft lid wipes), and rinse with approved EyeWash for ridding debris. Not a good practice to use your technique.
