A member asked:

My 1 year old has yellow mucus in his eyes. it started building up this morning. what could it be? do i need to take him to the doctor

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some basics: This can be pinkeye triggered by virus/bacteria or an allergy. You can tease away the mucus with a wet Q-tip/earbud or moist cloth. You may want to just call the doc's office to see if they want you to come in or just send our drops.
