Hello, my sister in law is 20 weeks pregnant and has a low-lying placenta. my brother works out of town, so i am moving in with her to take care of her and her house. in case of a rupture, is there any first aid i should know?

Very Rare: It is very rare for a low lying placenta to be life threatening or "rupture" . If there is ANY bleeding from her vagina, you get her to Emergency Room ASAP. No other fist aid than that. At 20 weeks, she has time for the her pregnancy to mature. As it does. most low lying placentas mover further back into the uterus and become less of a problem. Nice of you to help her.
