Sleep apnea: This depends upon the severity of the apnea. For mild to moderate apnea, a dental device has been approved as a method of treatment. Patients find that these devices are more comfortable than the CPAP devices which are a mask that must be worn to force oxygen into the lungs. Compliance of CPAP is less that 50% because of the discomfort involved.
