A member asked:

I want to grow taller, can i take calcium and vitamin d supplements everyday?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely not: While good nutrition is essential for normal growth in children and adolescents, additional vitamins and minerals are unlikely to help unless identified deficiencies require supplementation and were inhibiting growth to begin with. Be careful to discuss supplements with either your doctor or your child's doctor, depending on who is taking supplements. Excessive intake may cause problems.
