Hard to say: If the pain does not persist it is likely minor. The tube that allows air into your middle ear may be transiently blocked which allows a suction on the ear drum to develop. Swallowing or random movement may allow air back in to relieve it. Pregnant ladies have many things they can take during pain issues if they clear it with their doc.
