A member asked:

Is it normal to receive your blood test results 3 days after the blood test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on details: There are thousands of different blood tests. How long it takes to get a result depends on where the test is done compared with where the patient is, and also depends on how long it takes the equipment to produce the result. One's doctor (and sometimes the patient too) then gets the result for interpretation, or after interpretation. It takes anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 months. Details matter.
