Varies: Nail pitting is a symptom seen in patients wit a variety of conditions. Psoriasis is the first issue that comes to mind. Eczema, reactive arthritis, chronic inflammation in other sites and a condition causing bald patches on the scalp are also sometimes present. The underlying trigger should be sorted out by your doc.
