Sharp pain in the middle of my thigh on left side hurts to walk about 5inches above the bend of my knee?

Nondiagnostic: Muscle, bone or nerve problems are possibilities. Is there a history of recent strain, overuse or trauma? These would favor muscle strain or contusion.This would be an unusual location for a pinched nerve. At this time rest and you could take an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen for a few days.
