NO: If not allergic to NSAIDS, I suggest use of anti inflammatory meds like aleve or Advil. Unfortunately, if there is blood trapped under the nail causing what looks like a bad black and blue mark, it is too late to evacuate the blood. Infection is possible but rare. Requires an exam and direct observation.
