My daughter woke up saying her eye is sore, its teary and its sore when she opens it?

Too vague for label: If just one eye this could be a reaction to an irritant in one eye, a scratch on the cornea or early in the process of a localized infection. Flooding the eye with artificial tears may help remove any foreign debris, but if this does not eliminate the discomfort I would have her eye examined.
