I was scratched by a pet, leashed dogs nail when he jumped because he seemed excited, on my leg. no broken skin. wondering if any disease possible.

Certainly: Any disruption of the intact skin can let in germs transferred from the source. An animals claws travel through a lot of germ infested sites & these can trigger infection. A good cleaning with an antibacterial soap & periodic monitoring of the site are likely all that is needed.
