A member asked:

For how long after benign lumpectomy scar tissue can grow. after 1 year 8x2mm hard/rubbery lump. us was fine. can it continue to grow and for how long

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Scar tissue growth ?: Some scar tissue can grow much longer than a few weeks, and this is called a "keloid", which is common in darkly pigmented individuals, less so in light skinned. These can be surgically removed, but even with steroid therapy can reoccur.
