Simple reason!: Zinc in high doses treats wilson's disease, a copper overdose syndrome caused by absorption of too much copper. Zinc competes to some exent with copper absorption in the intestine, so adding copper (usually 2mg) is a good idea, as not to cause copper deficiency!
