I am going on holiday next month but know that during that time i will start my period, is there something i can take to stop it over that period?

Stopping a period ?: If you started a period within 1-5 days prior to this question, get oral bcp's (if no contraindication) and begin now. Do not stop taking the active pills, but skip the "placebo" pills and go right to the next package of bcp's. If your period was longer ago, you will not be able to stop your next period with bcp's.
