My mother in law is becoming extremely forgetful and gets into repeat mode. same story in 10 minutes. is there some way to react positively to it? or to help her? we have had her in for an initial exam but she was offended by all the questions.

Memory: You can say something like: "Yes, I remember you mentioning that." Beyond that she can see her family doc and perhaps get a neuropsychological exam by a clinical psychologist. You can mention that this can clarify if there is a memory issue or not and if there is, offer strategies to help. Peace and good health.
