A member asked:

Please can you tell me about diaphragmatic endometriosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Endometriosis ?: Endometriosis is a disease of particles of endometrium (lining cells of the uterus) which occur outside the uterus. It is uncommon to exist in the diaphragm (or lung tissue). What is being described as "diaphragmatic endometriosis" may not be occurring from pelvic endometriosis, so if pulmonary symptoms are occurring, see a pulmonologist for an exam and testing.
