A member asked:

What causes bowel movement to go back inside, sometimes, if you stop pushing before completion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sphincter tone: the rectal sphincter must be relaxed for a normal stool passage. Sometimes, straining at stool can inadvertently cause tightening and when there is sufficient stool in the rectum, it will easily pass. I suggest drinking 8-10 glasses of ater daily and adding some fiber: ( fruit, veggies, cereals ) to your diet.
