No: Many infants & children will occasionally become carriers of c.diff with no related symptoms. Some will become symptom free without any intervention if an antibiotic that triggered c.diff overgrowth is stopped. Probiotics may pay a helpful role in some cases. If the kid is free of symptoms it is reasonable to just monitor the situation for any new emerging issues.
