Some basics: The bump you noted is likely a over sized reaction/scar tissue due to the tissue injury caused by the piercing &/or the presence of any foreign object. You can either remove it & treat the area as suggested, hoping it will settle down or not. The bump may then continue to enlarge. The piercing may seal over. You can also get a 2nd opinion by a dermatologist.
