Hi, do i need to have a referral letter from a gp if i want my bunions removed?

Depends on: the type of insurance you have. If you pay only in cash, go to any podiatrist you want. If PPO you would have to pay a co-pay for a specialist and if HMO you would need an electronic referral.

Wrong place to ask: This is the HT public information site where docs, primarily in the USA answer questions about health conditions. You are welcome to post general health questions as needed. However,we have no access to or information about local healthcare plans around the world where this site is seen. You need to ask your health plan such questions.
