Day, night, any time: Doctors are online for private consultations at any time in most of the US. Because medical licensure here is by state, doctors usually have 1, 2, or 3 state licenses at the most. If in your state, there is a doctor taking live calls who is not in a visit with another patient, you'll be offered to connect. Otherwise you may be offered a visit for a Second Opinion on your existing diagnosis. (2019)

Wrong place to ask: This is the HT forum where volunteer docs answer questions about health conditions. It does not offer interactive consults. If you subscribe to the HT Prime or Concierge services you can arrange for such consults at most times. You must direct your questions to that site for such services. This public site does not have direct connection to these platforms.
