PCOS ?: PCOS , if true, interferes with ovulation, therefore bleeding episodes relate to breakdown of uterine lining after stimulation with estrogen over time, and "spotting" is reflective of this. If you are not attempting pregnancy at this point, ask your gyn physician about low dose oral bcp's, which control effects from high estrogen, if there are no contraindications.
