I am experiencing sore throat, mild fever that is unaffected by hot weather, dehydration (fluid loss), exercise or physical activity, and that is unaffected by with fluids, body aches, aching muscles, chills, swollen glands, malaise, and swollen tonsils.

Viral or Strep check: From your description your illness may be viral. A strep test may be ordered at your PCP’s office. Drink fluids, treat fever and rest. If symptoms don’t improve, please see your physician.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may take acetaminophen for pain and fever, no more that 4 gm in a day, no alcohol, Drink plenty of fluids. If it does not get better in a couple of days, it would be prudent to see your doctor to rule strep throat.
