Usually not: The PFO is a normal hole between the upper chambers of the heart formed during normal fetal development. It persists in 1 of 4 adults & is rarely a problem. It is generally held closed after birth by a flap & higher heart pressures in the left upper chamber than the right. There are some instances where it can be a problem. I would advise your doc of the finding & follow up with him/her.
