I have off and on minor dull pain under lower right part of my rib cage for a while now. what could be the reason?

Abdominal pain: Pain in this area could be the gallbladder. The liver also sits in this area. An exam and lab work with possible Ultrasound can help sort out what is causing the pain. If it comes after intake of fatty foods then this points more towards the gallbladder.
