A member asked:

Is it possible that a dead or rotting tooth causes pain in any other teeth?

Yes: A rotted tooth can have an infection around it and this can cause pain radiating on the entire side of you mouth. Don't wait. See a dentist and get this treated. Infections can be serious. Get it taken care of.

Pain can radiate: Not directly, but the pain from one tooth can radiate or refer to other areas of the mouth and head. You may also have problems with other teeth. Please get treatment asap as infected teeth can cause serious complications and can even be life threatening.
