Most likely, but: Teeth don't "fall out" unless they are deciduous ("baby") teeth. If your tooth is "coming out in pieces", it is heavily decayed. Only your dentist can tell for sure. If the tooth needs to be restored to full function, the nerve will need to be evaluated and treated appropriately. If the tooth does not need to be restored, but simply removed, it makes little to no difference if the nerve is dead.
