A member asked:

My tsh is 1.28 .. does that mean my thyroid is functioning normal ? does this rule out hypothyroidism ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your TSH is in the normal range and essentially rules out hypothyroidism.
