Abscess on appendix: They would have to remove appendix ( sometimes they first give antibiotics to cool down the infection or drain before surgery as to avoid sepsis) and send it to pathology .Once the infection is controlled they may want to do a colonoscopy as well and check for polyps. .But also consider Crohns disease or ulcerative colitis.
