Rib Pain: Without an exam, what you are describing sounds like chostochondritis. This is an inflammation of the "joint" where the cartilidge portion of of your rib cage joins the bone portion. Unfortunatlely this can be quite painful and take some time to resolve (if this is indeed the case). Heating pads and Ibuprofen work best for that.
