No: You need to go to a doctor or a minute clinic and get tested for strept throat.

Risk remains: Even strep throat will sometimes feel better after a few days as the body tries to heal itself. However, if it is strep, the risk of Rheumatic fever, heart,kidney or brain complications starting a month or so later remains. You have about 9-10 days from the start of strep to get it treated and stop complications. Many sore throats are viral, if not this is risky.
